To set up wireless features, follow these steps. Connect the USB cable to the USB port on the printer, and then connect the other end to the Mac computer. After the connections are complete, open the wireless setup by running the Wireless Setting application. You can connect your Mac to a WiFi network using AirPort, which is Apple’s wireless networking gear. If you’re setting up the network at home, you need to configure the AirPort base station. So, just connect an Ethernet cable from your broadband modem to the base station, then connect your base station to your computers Ethernet port.
- Select the network you want to connect to. If you are using the default wireless settings, the network you want is the same as the SSID listed on the bottom of the modem.
Make sure wireless is on by selecting the Apple Icon > System Preferences > Network > Airport > Airport Power - On/Off.
- Enter the 'Password' then select 'Join'. If you are using the default wireless settings, the 'Password' is the same as the Passphrase on the bottom of the modem.
