The room correction program consists of two software applications:
1. Dirac Live Calibration Tool
The room calibration tool will show you step by step how to measure and analyze the degradations that your loudspeakers and room imposes on the sound. Correction data is generated automatically. The room calibration tool requires a microphone for the measurements and works with standard and USB sound cards (DAC:s). If you are non-technical just take the measurements and the software figures out the rest! As an advanced user, you can edit the target frequency response in great detail. 2. Dirac Audio Processor
This application lets you apply the created correction data to all sound that is played from your computer, regardless of media player or application.

The room correction software supports up to 24-bit resolution at 192 kHz sample rate. The technology is unique in that it corrects not only the frequency response but also the impulse response. This is in contrast to the common minimum-phase room correction systems that do not optimize the impulse response.
