In 1990, Electronic Arts, Inc. Publishes The Bard's Tale III: Thief of Fate on DOS. Also published on Commodore 64, Amiga, Apple II and PC-98, this role-playing (rpg) game is abandonware and is set in a fantasy, turn-based and dungeon crawler.

Completely surprising, the developer studio inXile Entertainment today released the remastered version of The Bard’s Tale for PlayStation 4,PlayStation Vita, Xbox, and PC. In a post on the official Facebook page of the game, the team has announced the release of The Bard’s Tale: Remastered and Resnarkled.

For owners of a PlayStation 4 Pro, the game is available in 4K at 60 frames per second.

Currently, the team of inXile Entertainment is working on The Bard’s Tale 4, which was successfully supported by a Kickstarter campaign. However, the release originally planned for 2017 had to be postponed to the next year.
